Rainy Day Sob Story

The sun did not shine. It was too wet to play.
So, we sat in the house all this cold, cold wet day.

I sat there with my boys. We sat there our crew.
And I said, "How I wish we had something to do!"

Too wet to fly kites and too cold to play ball.
So we sat in our house we did nothing at all.

And then we decided to make us some food.
We settled on pizza. We knew it'd be good.

With aprons on torsos and olives on hand.
We knew that the outcome would be something grand.

And when we had eaten we still felt so sad.
Then we decided we really just all missed our dad.

I feel your pain, we've had rainy days and a missing dad - maybe I'll give pizza a try! Cute poem.

I love the poem! Can I get your pizza recipe? Did you make the crust too? We've had lots of snow lately and my crew is tired of being in the house. I think pizza making is a wonderful idea. What a good Mom you are!

Love Charlie's expression. You can tell he's diggin' the olive fingers!

Thanks, Dr. Seuss.
I find that olives on my fingers make me miss Travis, too.
