Putting Off the Inevitable

The time is rapidly approaching for a blog name change. I have to admit...I'm kind of attached to this blog name. It's been with us since the beginning. I'll dry my eyes as I think about the other things I have recently discovered I am quite attached to.

We were given new silverware for Christmas. In order to accommodate a large dinner crowd, I finally got up the guts to replace the old silverware at Easter. I nearly DID have to dry my eyes. I was replacing the silverware Travis and I chose soon after we were married. As silly as it sounds I remember feeling like our silverware style expressed something about us. I peeked at it the other day in the back of the drawer and it looks so dull and used. Just the same I'm attached to the set.

While on the kitchen topic I must mention our dishes. Plates, bowls, mugs, glasses. We chose these all shortly after we were married as well. Again, feeling the style said something about us. For the last few months we've had a serious problem...our dishes STINK! There are few things worse than attempting to take a refreshing drink of cold water and smelling WET DOG! What do we do? The thought of replacing the dishes really makes me sad. The thought of replacing the dish washer makes me ill. In this case I think being ill might be more productive.

For the benefit of those still reading, I'll continue...a name change. I wonder which name I would more likely become attached to..."Five Guys and a Doll" or "Four Guys and Two Dolls". What do you think?

Well, I still can't imagine it being a girl, but I have a secret wish that it is. She will be so spoiled by her three brothers not to mention tough amidst all that testosterone.

But I just can't see it so Five guys and a Doll is my vote.

I asked Clarissa if you were having a boy or a girl and she said "gir". So, I guess that's our vote, Four guys and two dolls. When are you going to find out what you are having?

For the record I guess I am the only one that thought this statement was Britt saying she was having a girl! It must have been my secret desire for that to be true! So I vote team girl!

I say if it is a girl just call it Guys and Dolls and if it is a boy, 5 guys and a doll.

WHAT?!?! WHO?!?! WHEN?!?!

When did you get pregnant? Did I miss that post? Wow, how could I have missed that? Or was this your sneaky way of announcing it to everyone!?!?

Well....CONGRATULATIONS! Let us know! Only 1 more and you'll catch up to us! :)

Are you announcing something?!? Congratulations! I've got 3 brothers so I'm hoping you have a little girl!

Hmmm... I'm 50/50 on that - straddling the fence, as they say. And there's a 50/50 chance that any guess will be right... And, either way, it adds up to six (4+2 or 5+1), so maybe you should just call it "Six" or "Sixes". "Battle of the Sixes"? How 'bout "Travis and Britt, Workin' on a Full House." Garth Brooks and Bob Saget would both approve.
Either way, CONGRATULATIONS! Of course, if you were from Mexico instead of New Mexico we could say "Congratulatinos." But you're not, so, as they say in New Mexico, congratulations.
(Brian Gurney spilled the beans to me yesterday, telling me about their visit with you. I was going to call but decided to read "Sixes" first...)

Congratulations! My vote is a girl - they are too much fun and your boys would make great older brothers to a sister.

How exciting! When are you due? Now we'll have our Charlie and Lacey the same age and our babies close to the same age too :) I'm due in just a few weeks and we don't know the gender, but regardless, "The Strom Life" works either way, so I guess we're still safe with keeping the blog title!

We are voting for a girl......we need some more estrogen in the neighborhood :) but if it is a boy, we will be happy just the same. A healthy baby is all that matters after all. Are you guys going to find out or keep us all waiting??
