No Time to Blog

I have a personal rule but I'm breaking it in order to explain my more than week long absence from the blogging world. RULE: When my house looks like this I am not aloud to blog.
Out of courtesy to those who are at risk of having a heart attack, I am withholding all pictures of the upstairs.
My boys are so well behaved that I can leave piles of folded laundry on the floor for days and they don't even knock the piles over. They must really love me.

A while ago I was complaining to Travis about the rate at which our house goes from order to chaos. He reminded me of one of the ideas involved in the concept of entropy, that nature tends from order to disorder. Next week we are moving a team of scientists in to study the extraordinary rate at which this is occurring in our house.

My kids don't love me that much. They love to push over my piled clothes:) Hurry and clean it up so you can post more pictures of the new wee one.

Hang in there, Britt. The best moms live in sometimes messy houses.

At least you have the excuse of a newborn! What's my excuse?! I can't keep up with 2 kids!! I'm really trying but I just can't.

A.M.E.N. After those scientists are done at your house, you might as well send them to my tiny apartment, we probably can blow them away. Your pictures were probably taken after only one day of exhaustion when you needed a break from cleaning!! That is how my house gets, and OH SO QUICKLY. A new baby doesn't help things except that they do make it all a little more worth it! So now that I'm enacting your law as my new rule, I had better get off the computer or I might lose all computer rights for a week!

Hey, maybe if you leave it long enough, then it will naturally go back to order? It's worth a shot, right? I've been working on it for a while, and it hasn't happened yet, but I won't give up.

What? That's not considered clean? In my chaotic life, your house looks GREAT! Notice I haven't blogged in over a month? Hmmm...today. Today is the day I post so watch out for a HUGE tummy. Only three weeks until D Day!

You are a brave sould for posting those pictures. Of course that is exactly what my house looks like most of the time! I just tell myself there is a time and season for everything. Right now is the season for a disorderly house - should I get too comfortable with the disorder and it moves from being a season to a decade then I am in trouble.

I feel your pain. And I feel inspired to go work on the piles in my downstairs after this reminder that I am not alone.

Except I still have a cute baby who likes to be held, so maybe the piles can wait...

Just go give your baby some loves and let the piles keep until another tomorrow. At least your laundry is folded!
