First Day of School-Part II

This is was the best shot I could get of Isaac's bus yesterday. I stood there on the sidewalk waving at the bus driver as she drove right by me barely slowing down, oh yeah, and failing to drop Isaac off.
I stood there with my mouth open wondering what I should do. Theron and Charlie were in the house still and now the only thing I could think was that I needed to chase the bus down to retrieve my child. Trav's timing couldn't have been better. He pulled up to the house as I was still standing there (bus out of sight). I just started ordering him to go track down the bus. He quickly put on his speed racer face and drove off through the neighborhood. My neighbor Kevin drove by at this time asking if Isaac had come home yet. I told him my dilemma and just then he said, "Hey, there is the bus," pointing down the way. Then he laughed, "And there's Travis." Sure enough, Travis was on the bus's tail. A few blocks later I am told that Travis cut the bus off when it finally stopped and boarded the bus announcing that he was looking for Isaac. The bus driver was a little startled and embarrassed as she discovered the mistake. Isaac and Travis returned home a short time later.
This morning Miss Helen assured me that she would be dropping him off at the very corner that I was standing on. I sure hope so. This was enough excitement for a rookie school boy and his parents.

At least you will never forget his first day of school. I am sorry but I was laughing as I read. I was visualizing it all going down.
Hope today was better!

Oh man that was a good laugh! I can't believe what a fiasco this turned out to be. It looks like Isaac had a blast so he must not have been too traumatized!

Issac's first day of school is something I've been looking forward to for quite some time. I predict he'll have eleven gold stars and a girlfriend by the weekend. ;)

Well, he certainly won't be forgetting that any time soon! I'm glad Trav came home when he did. If that happened to me, I think I'd be a wreck!
