This morning Isaac said, "Well, mom, if this is Independence day then why didn't you let me choose my own clothes to wear today?"
We started off the day at the parade. This was the first parade the boys have ever attended. Their expectations weren't set too high. Isaac said he just wanted to see the people blowing horns and the drummers. Two High School bands passed by us and the boys got lots of candy. Everything Isaac wanted and more.
It rained most of the time but it didn't put a damper on our fun, although the stroller did cramp Charlie's style a bit.
The boys broke out the flag and sang patriotic songs with Travis.

i enjoyed the video especially Issac's definition of independence.
Love Theron's hand waving during the video :-)
That was AWESOME. I love how Charlie wanted to be part of the whole thing. That was cute how he came and then left and came back. I loved Theron's hand waving too. Issac is such a smarty. I had no idea we were still having that same war. Hmm. Good info Issac!
I love to have my independence on the fourth of July! I get to choose whatever I want it's great.
Okay so the hand waving hilarious. Charlie's singing so dang cute and Isaac how come you never said nice things to Britt (mom)? But seriously I love that independence come and Breakfast lunch and dinner and the night. Oh yeah and I think I add my own words to the star spangled banner ... or something along those lines. hehe
I loved the video! Did anyone in your house say "no" on Independence Day? Isaac cracks me up!
