Travis got his first deer with his bow and arrow today. I think he's pretty stoked.
It's hanging in our garage. Something about the "meat tastes better after it's been hanging out [with the bikes and strollers] in the cold winter air".
Today must be his lucky day. He shot a deer, sold our refrigerator, and won some luggage at a work outing by bowling five strikes in a row. Maybe it's talent and skill but whatever it is...he's on a roll. I think I better keep him close by. Who knows what else might happen?

Woot! Woot! That's pretty awesome!
You know if you hang a dead deer in the garage by the strollers and bikes come spring when you're on a walk with the kiddies (using your strollers and bikes) you might just get a whiff of dead deer scent which will remind you of that lucky night in November back in 08' when Travis seemed to have the world in the palm of his hand.
PLUS, while you are on said walk with the strollers and bikes and catch a whiff of dead deer and remember all your venison still in the freezer you'll be grateful for the moment of nostalgia because it will also help you remember you have a great recipe at home for venison pancakes with a side of orange marmalade that would be perfect for dinner! Loves!
Oodalaleee! That is a day to remember for sure. Matt did not get a deer this bow hunt so he is going for it again in "the late season" bow hunt. Hooray.(that hooray was said with no enthusiasm)
So when exactly were you planning on informing us that you married a Super Hero!
Does this mean the end of hunting for this year?
Evidently some bowling karma of an old roommate must have rubbed off onto Travis.
Congrats on the dead deer, the done deal, and the dandy day in general.
I know I'd love a dead deer in my garage if it meant I had a garage. I tagged you in my blog.
You know, I hear that if you hit a deer in Ohio with your car, you can take it home and keep it. Just something to consider for next season. ;)
(And yes, my inlaws did this once.)
If Travis wants some practice with coyote's come on over to our backyard!
I never thought in a million years that there was a dead deer in your garage. Remind me to keep my kids away while we are outside and your garage is open.
Congrats travis! Hannah still reminds me of the day that she saw a dead deer in Austin Rehl's garage. It is seered in her memory. So why did you sell your fridge?
