Travis took Isaac and Theron camping for the father and son camp out. They went to Hocking Hills. They ate tin foil dinners, roasted marshmallows over the fire, used a lantern, and slept in a tent. I guess the high light of the trip was hiking up to Old Man's cave. They have talked about it ever since. It looks really beautiful.
We went to "Balloons off Broadway" with our good friends. Despite the humidity and heat we had a great time. We watched a dozen or so hot air balloons take off and enjoyed food, music, and good company. When it got dark we watched the balloons light up. They seemed to glow. Isaac and Theron thought it was especially great when one of the balloons got a huge hole in the side and toppled over. No worries...it wasn't in the air anymore when it got the hole. On the way to the car we lit up sparklers. Later we got to use our first aid skills...poor Addie burned her finger!
We took the boys to a Clippers baseball game. It was "dime a dog" night. We ate hot dogs for dinner (of course) and had cotton candy and peanuts for a special treat. Isaac is still a little weirded out by the whole cotton candy thing but the peanuts were definitely a hit. They still can't figure out why I don't want them to eat the peanuts at home.
Theron loves Charlie. He really enjoys being with him and is very good at making him laugh. When Charlie wakes up from a nap Theron likes to be right there waiting for him. When Charlie sees him he typically tenses up, clenches his fists and lets out a drooly squeal.
